Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been a model, actor as well as an animal rights activist in the US. She has been acclaimed for films like Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) and The Getaway, (1972). Growing up in an artistic family in New York she wished to work in the field of arts. The first job she had was a photo assistant. She then moved on to modeling and acting. In her first two films her name was acknowledged and was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award as Most Popular Young Actress. MacGraw was a worldwide celebrity after her movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as an award from the Golden Globe. With just three movies MacGraw became the most popular female box-office star in the entire world. Her handprints and signatures were recorded at Grauman's Chinese Theater. She was a part of several other movies, including The Getaway Convoy Players and TV miniseries The Winds of War among many others. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography, of hers was published. MacGraw is divorced three times.
