Zoe-perry
Perry is Perry is a Chicago native, she was born into Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. She made her first appearances in the television screen in the role of Jackie Harris, a character played by her mother in Roseanne, an ABC sitcom Roseanne. She was not allowed to begin acting in front of her family until she reached an adulthood stage, because they were concerned about the strain it might create. Perry, who was too timid to perform in the school, began performing in theater classes at Northwestern University because she wanted to meet new people. When she graduated, Perry relocated in New York to search for jobs on television, landing small parts in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent but homesickness brought the actress back to California and she was able to find theater jobs. She appeared on Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. The show featured the father of her character Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's crime thriller The Family. In 2017, Perry played a supporting role in ABC's political thriller Scandal in which her father was the main character. She played the role of the younger Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off series that was part of the CBS show The Big Bang Theory was an additional portrayal that was younger of her mother. She got the part by auditioning for an open role despite being a fan of the role.
