Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a writer, singer, and actress in the US for the past 40 years. Her most well-known role is because of her portrayal as Ginger Grant (in the 60s TV series Gilligan's Island). Bettle's Two's Company musical was the first stage production in which she appeared for her first stage appearance. In the 1950s she performed as a stage actor in several Broadway productions before gaining into national fame with the release of Li'l Abner' in 1957. Her album, It's too late for Tina in the same year. Her first appearance in Hollywood was in the role of Griselda as Griselda in the film God's Small Acre, a 1958 film. The film was met with wide acclaim. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. In the years prior to this she attended the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her teacher. The next role she starred in was through in 1964 when she enrolled with CBS to play Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise worked successfully in both Hollywood as well as Broadway, playing somber characters to counter her image of glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. As SG-1, and as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she has also made an impact as an accomplished director on numerous well-known TV shows like Supernatural and The 100. She was birthed in Essex on August 28, 1965. Her family later relocated to Toronto to spend her youth. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver, Canada after her selection for the lead role.
