Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco - a Canadian as well as an American musician and singer. There are more than 20 albums. Her songs are classified by the label as alternative and folk. But, they are influenced by hip-hop music, jazz and punk. Ani DiFranco was among the first artist to establish her own label in 1990. Ani is widely considered to be a feminist icon. DiFranco born on 23 September 1970 in Buffalo, New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who came across Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father is of Italian origin, while her mother comes from Montreal. Ani DiFranco composed and performed 32 Flavors. This song was released in 1995 on the sixth album Not a Pretty Girl. It was also featured on the soundtrack of the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999. DiFranco apologized for hosting a workshop in Louisiana at an old slave plantation. The workshop was cancelled, but the majority of people (including the author of this article) didn't detect remorse. DiFranco released a second apology just a few days following the first. She is known for her Little Folksinger music, but she has worked with several different genres and artists including Pete Seeger to Chuck D. She is from New Orleans.
