Cecily Legler Strong is a popular American comedian and stand-up actor well-known as a prominent character on the show 'Saturday Night Live'. After taking an improv class at the age of nine when she was nine, she started her career as an actor. It was her initial intention to become an actor, but soon she discovered that the thing she really enjoys is comedy. After that, she shifted her focus to performing in improv. Her career began on a cruise ship, performing with other members of Second City Conservatory & iO Chicago. Strong performed at popular events such as Chicago Sketch Fest, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, New York Sketchfest, and Virgin Daiquiri The all-female improv troupe. The show's biggest star was 2012 when she joined "Saturday Night Live" in the 39th Season, as a featured cast member co-anchoring for the Weekend Update segment first with Seth Meyers and later with Colin Jost. Her most iconic moment on the show was when she played the character "The Girl You Wish You Hadn't Engaged in a Conversation With in a Bar'. Her debut came with a role as a star of the movie that was also titled "How to Sponsor an Uterus". The actress has spoken out against the treatment of women on the screen as only bikini models as opposed to strong character in mainstream cinema.
